4TH GRADE CURRICULUM

We offer a combined classroom setting for the 3rd and 4th graders. It provides
opportunities for children to learn independently. The students thrive on the classical curriculum while learning how to think, not just what to think. The small class size gives the teacher quite a bit of time for individual class instruction, creating a good balance between group and independent work.

Catechism: Learn by Heart 

Reading/Literature: Fourth Grade Lit– Great Books 

English Grammar & Composition: Shurley English 4 

Comp/ Spelling & Vocabulary: A Beka Spelling & Poetry 4 

Math: Saxon 4 

History & Geography: AIG– History Revealed: Ancient Civilizations & the Bible 

Science: A Beka Understanding God’s World 

Latin: Memoria Press Latina Christiana 1 & Famous Men of Rome 

Art: Drawing with Children & 4nd Grade art cards 

Music: 2 times per week 

P.E. 2 times per week
