Letter From the Principal
It is a great pleasure to welcome you and your family to Zion Lutheran School! And that is what we hope Zion will feel like for you and your children- a family. We are very excited to have you at our school! We rejoice that you have heard God’s call to commit your children to Christian Classical instruction and you have chosen to “raise your child in the admonition and instruction of the Lord” (Eph. 6:4).
Christ is the beginning and end of everything we do at Zion Lutheran. We teach every subject from the Christian worldview, for we believe that what we teach and how we teach affects our children. Here, science is taught from the perspective of the God who created the Heavens and the Earth. History is taught from the perspective of the God of history who is in control of all time. Literature is taught with a critical eye toward books and ideas that support and lift up Christian ideals rather than undermine them. Even Math is taught from the perspective of the God of the universe who created our world in an orderly fashion.
We pledge that with the help of God, we will aid you in your God given duty to raise your children in the way they should go, that when they are old they will not depart from it (Eph. 6:4).
As parents, we ask you to pledge that you will get your children to school on time each day, that you make sure homework is completed and reinforced, and that you will do your best to keep abreast of what is going on in the school (Eph. 6:4).
As students, we ask you to pledge that you will do your very best in all things and show respect, order, unity, diligence and honesty in your school halls and at home (Eph. 6:1-3).
By the grace and mercy of God, this will be a great year!
Mrs. Gayle Wollman
