8th Grade Curriculum

We offer a combined classroom setting for the 7th & 8th graders. The curriculum is very robust; therefore it is expected that there should be a healthy amount of homework. Homework would include in-home reading, writing assignments and worksheets. This leaves class time for discussion of concepts and putting them in-to practice.

Reading/Literature: Eighth Grade Lit– Great Books

English Grammar & Composition: Shurley English 8

Comp/ Spelling & Vocabulary: Spelling & Poetry 8

Math: Saxon Algebra 1/2

History & Geography: AIG– History Revealed: World Empires, World Missions, World Wars

Science: A Beka Order and Design

Latin: Memoria Press First Form Latin 1

Art: Drawing for Older Children

Music: 2 times per week
